Process
How it works
Two journeys — one for owners, one for buyers — that meet only when both sides are ready.
- 01
Initial qualification
A practical conversation about the business, your objectives and your timing. We are honest early about whether we are the right fit.
- 02
Engagement terms
Scope and fees are agreed in writing before any engagement begins. We do not publish a standard fee schedule, because engagements genuinely differ.
- 03
Anonymous summary
We prepare a summary that describes the opportunity without identifying the business. You read and approve it before it is used.
- 04
Buyer qualification
Interested buyers are assessed for strategic fit, experience and funding before a transaction progresses.
- 05
Controlled disclosure
Information is released in stages, with your approval, through an agreed disclosure process.
- 06
Indicative offers
We collect and compare offers, including structure, conditions and the buyer's funding position.
- 07
Due diligence
We coordinate the flow of information and keep the process moving alongside your solicitor and accountant.
- 08
Completion
Final terms are settled and the transaction completes, with any agreed handover arrangements in place.
Fees
Fees and scope are agreed in writing before an engagement begins. They depend on the size and complexity of the business and the work involved, so we do not publish a standard schedule.
