For owners
Plan and complete the right business sale
We advise owners of established businesses through preparation, valuation, buyer selection, negotiation and completion — always shaped around their commercial and personal objectives.
The process
Six stages, clearly explained
Timing varies with the business and the market. What does not vary is that you approve each step before it happens.
- 01
Introductory conversation
We talk through your objectives, timing and what a good outcome looks like for you. Nothing commits you to selling.
- 02
Review of the business and financial information
We look at recent accounts, management information and the shape of the business, including customer concentration, recurring revenue and the role you personally play.
- 03
Valuation expectations and engagement terms
We discuss what is realistic for a business of this type and size, and agree the scope and fees in writing before any engagement begins.
- 04
Owner-approved anonymous opportunity summary
We prepare an anonymous summary of the opportunity. It is used only once you have read and approved it.
- 05
Buyer research, distribution and qualification
We do not rely on a single business-for-sale website. Each mandate is distributed through a combination of major UK acquisition marketplaces, our proprietary buyer network and direct approaches to carefully identified strategic acquirers, private equity investors, search funds and sector consolidators. Buyers are then assessed against your criteria before any introduction.
- 06
Offers, due diligence and completion
We coordinate offers, manage the flow of information through due diligence and work with your advisers towards completion.
Your identity is disclosed only by agreement
Your name, your company’s identity and your documents are shared only through a disclosure process agreed with you in advance. Buyers see an anonymous summary first, and identifying information follows only once you are satisfied with the buyer and any confidentiality agreement is in place.

Tell us about your business
Four short steps. We only ask for what we need to hold a useful first conversation — no personal identity documents, customer lists or accounts at this stage.
